Brief Description: 2 year anniversary, EGT probe installation
Two years and 1196 hours ago today I made my first Onex part. I figure I had about 4 months of non-work periods, so about 20 months of actual work so far.
Drilled and tapped the exhaust pipes for the 5M0.8mm EGT probes. Screwed the probes directly into the thin wall pipes and they seem pretty secure. I can still use the hose clamps if needed.
Wired the four CHT probes into half of the "NAMZ" 16 pin Molex connector (www.namzccp.com). The connector is weather resistant with a silicon sealing gasket around the wires. The connector is located on the cockpit side of the firewall away from heat sources where it becomes the "cold junction" location.
